Adam Noor - Tenancy Support Service adam.noor@mosscare.org.uk  

I provide a Tenancy Support Services primarily for tenants of Somali Origin living in Mosscare Housing Accommodation, in Manchester. I manage a caseload of 22 tenants at any one time.  

Tenants receive up to one and half hour support per week.    Service is available Mon-Friday between 8:30 – 4:30pm. My role is to ensure that these tenants get help with issues that may be affect their ability to maintain their tenancy, and to live independently in the community.

I manage Supported Housing properties for people with:

• Mental Health

• Learning disabilities

• Physical disabilities

• Young Care Leavers

• Homeless Men & Women

I am also responsible for all applications for aids and adaptations including those for Mossbank Homes.

I manage Supported Housing schemes with Management Agreements in place and the Partner Agencies manage these on Mosscare’s behalf.

Some examples of these schemes are:

• Women’s refuge’s

• Properties for people with physical disabilities

• Properties for people with learning disabilities

I am the day to day link with the agents and the residents at these Supported Housing Properties, to deal with any issues that arise. I also have some involvement in the Furnished Tenancy scheme, where Mosscare provide rented furniture to tenants.

 Management of Mosscare’s Sheltered Housing provision.   Duties include:

• Dealing with general enquires

• Advising tenants on their rights and responsibility

• Monitor activities carried out within the sheltered schemes and surrounding environment

• To support the Scheme Manager daily

• Deal with any tenancy related issues

• Monitor and action specific issues raised through the support planning process.
