Staff take part in Community Action Day Staff from Mosscare Housing and Mossbank Homes donated a day to their local communities on Mossbank Homes Stockport estates as part of their staff community action day. |

Cooking on a shoestring Staff set up a mobile kitchen beside Bredbury valley to demonstrate how to rustle up a meal without spending too much money. Local residents, Mr and Mrs Lawson, enjoyed the food tasting. Jane Muller, Allocations Officer, and Marie Freeman, Scheme Manager at Cardinal Court, were chefs for the day. Rose McCall, Income Generation Officer, gave advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables. |

Bredbury clean up A crack team of litter pickers and planters gave the Bredbury Green estate a makeover. Nathan Phelps, Finance Officer, was grateful for help from our partners, Rowlinsons and SK Solutions. Abdi Haji from IT, Francine Roddy and Lee Hardman from the Customer Service Centre, were handy with the litter pickers. Anne Pannett, Neighbourhood and Community Liason Officer, Chris Davies, from Homes Ownership and Initiatives, Nathan and Rob from Rowlinsons got busy planting shrubs as well. |

All Saints Primary Marple gardening This school project involved cleaning up a vegetable garden so the children could benefit fully from learning how to grow their own vegetables. The team also created a bee and butterfly area with some heavy digging from Alan Hornett, ASB officer, and Jonathan Mullins from IT. Rafiq el Bouaeshi, ASB officer, Gareth Eadsforth and Spencer McInstosh from Maintenance, Liz Joyce, Administrative Officer, from Mossbank and Jacky Ellison, Neihbourhood Manager werent afraid to get their hands dirty. |

Outwood Primary School The children and staff from Outwood Primary School were very excited to have their garden and planting area tidied. The kids were keen to get involved Sam Cunningham counted with help of some of the youngsters sorting out the garden. Sharon Gallagher from the Gas Team, Donna Bosmans from Customer Services Centre and Paul Lingard from Maintenance impressed the teachers with their wood staining abilities. |

Supported Housing Garden project Residents at our supported housing project in Marple were delighted to get a hand sprucing up their garden in preparation for an Olympic themed garden party they are having. Janet Goldstraw, was happy for Chief Executive, Rob Ferguson, to lend a hand with the arbour construction. Cath Coombe led the team and made sure there was no slacking! |

Welfare Reforms Advice The two Welfare Reform Advice teams spent the morning collecting data from a target group of residents and offering advice to the tenants about the upcoming benefit changes. Adam Noor, from Supported Housing, distributed leaflets and answered the tenants queries. |

Hanging Basket Residents were pleased to have their neighbourhood decorated with the hanging basket produced, delivered and fitted by the teams. Waseem Tahir, from Continuous Improvement, Nicola Smith, from Income Generation, Thelma Antiemo, Customers Services Centre, and Chris Ashworth, from Asset Management, worked hard preparing the baskets. The tenants were happy to have the baskets delivered and fitted for them by them team. |

Supporting Team Last but not least, the supporting team ensured we were all well, healthy and strong to keep the activities going by delivering refreshments, and keeping us well fed with a delicious breakfast and lunch. |
