2009 has seen changes for the gas team, as of 1^st April Gas Safe replaced Corgi as the main register for any contractor carrying out work involving gas.  

The inspections undertaken by Gas Safe insure that Mosscare engineers have the right skills technical qualifications to carry out the annual gas safety inspection in your property. 

We had an excellent response to access for last years servicing programme but we again ask that you co operate fully to ensure the servicing programme runs smoothly and efficiently, with minimal disruption to you.

Over the coming months we will provide prior written warning to all tenants’ households, informing them of when our gas service engineers will be in your area.  When you receive your letter please take time to arrange an appointment with the gas team.

Having your appliances serviced annually will insure that they are working at there most efficient and saving you money.

It is important to note that under the Gas Safety Regulations Act 1998 and your tenancy agreement, you have a legal obligation to allow reasonable access to carry out the necessary annual gas safety checks. 

If you fail to allow access we have no alternative than to take legal action against you, the costs of which run over £1500 and will be charged against you and recovered. 

Before legal action is started we will undertake a number of processes to gain access to your property.  We will write to you at least three occasions, we will attempt to make contact with you by phone and in a final attempt to gain access we will place a yellow sticker on your property prompting you to contact the gas team.  Please do not let our access procedure get to this stage, call as soon as you get your first letter to make an appointment.
